Serie A side, AS Roma has signed
from Chelsea on a five-year deal.The England striker joins Jose Mourinho side in a deal worth 40 million euros ($47 million).
Roma in a statement disclosed that Chelsea would “retain the right to a percentage of any future transfer fee involving the striker”.
It was gathered that the 23-year-old would wear the number nine jersey left vacant by Edin Dzeko who joined Inter Milan
The former Blues striker will earn 4.5 million euros net each season.
Abraham in his statement said, “You can sense when a club really wants you and Roma made their interest clear immediately.”
“Roma is a club that deserves to be fighting for titles and trophies. I’ve had the experience of winning major trophies and I want to be in those competitions again –- so I want to help this team to achieve that and get to the level where Roma should be.”
Abraham joined Roma after Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan.
