Super Eagles attacker, Moses Simon has revealed that their goalless draw with Ghana in Kumasi was decided by the team.
Ghana and Nigeria settled for a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff in Kumasi Ghana.
Nigeria was praised for coming home with a draw, considering the nature of the Ghanian pitch and the hostile behavior of their supporters.
Moses, who plays for Nantes, France, may keep his place in Austin Eguavoen’s starting lineup on Tuesday.
“We know how Ghana plays, so we decided to play for a draw because we know when they come here, they will lose,” Moses told the media on Monday.
Speaking further, the 26-year-old said, “…the game against Ghana, it is tactics because we all know it can be difficult. Of course, you’ll see me in the form in tomorrow’s game. We’ll give everything.”
He added: “The game against Tunisia, I was not caged, if you say I was caged, I didn’t observe it and you talk.”
