The southern port city of Odesa, Ukraine, was hit by an airstrike overnight.
A military administration official, Serhii Bratchuk, spokesperson of the operational staff of the Odesa regional military administration said Monday morning.
“Several missiles hit one of the districts in Odesa, one object was hit,” said Serhii Bratchuk, according to CNN.
“Further information is being clarified.”
A fuel depot was hit in Odesa early Sunday by Russian forces.
Bratchuk, however, disclosed that the strike did not cause any casualties.
Odesa has remained peaceful since the invasion until last night. It has been a refuge for displaced citizens from areas that have seen the worst fighting in Ukraine.
But the city has been getting it ready for attacks from Moscow for weeks now, mounting anti-tank barricades at the city centres to fortify against an invasion.
